The Brady Bunch
The Brady Bunch was my first Seinfeld. I know every episode by heart. What appealed to me was the innocence of the show and its stories, knowing full well that they were sappy, cheesy, and completely unrealistic even as a young child. No one actually talked that way or lived their life that way in the 1970’s: nobody. But that is what made this show so special. This was an image of what life could be like. It appealed to the naive child, the innocent goofball in me. And yes, I was a huge Jan fan. Eve Plumb, though not at all like my archetype, filled more than one boyhood dream of mine.
